Danny Buderus (L9) – The most capped Newcastle Knights player in history, ‘Bedsy’ is widely regarded as one of the greatest hookers of the modern era. A two-time premiership winner, Australian captain, and the first hooker ever to win the Dally M Medal, Buderus is immortalised further by the Knights’ Player of the Year award bearing his name the Buderus Medal.
Gorden Tallis (L10) – Known as ‘The Raging Bull’, Tallis was the most feared second-rower of his generation. A three-time premiership winner, Clive Churchill Medallist, World Cup winner, and Australian captain, Tallis’ legacy includes membership of the Indigenous Team of the Century and the Broncos’ 20th Anniversary Legends team.
